General Overview:
The Hola Baby program consists of eight week sessions in the fall, winter and spring. Each playgroup meets once a week for eight weeks. The “Nenes” playgroup
(ages 1-2.5 years) meets for forty-five minutes and the “Chicos” playgroup (ages 2.5- 4 years) meets for one hour. The summer session is an abbreviated session (a mini camp), meeting more than once a week, and offers classes for the same ages.

The Hola Baby classes are thematic based covering themes such as: colors, shapes, and animals. Each week a new theme is explored through structured
play. Music is a principal tool used to engage everyone in the Spanish language. There is also a Hola Baby mascot named Coquí (a friendly frog), who visits with the children each class and helps to reinforce the theme of the week. The children who are not yet verbalizing will develop an ear for the Spanish language while those who are verbalizing will not only develop an ear but also have the opportunity to speak the Spanish language.
